Chapter 47

不出户，知天下；不窥牖，见天道。其出弥远，其知弥少。是以圣人不行而知，不见而名，不为而成。

Without going out the door, know the world. Without looking out the window, see the way of heaven. The farther one goes, the less one knows. Therefore the sage knows without traveling, perceives without looking, accomplishes without acting.

不出门就能知道天下事，不看窗外就能了解天道。外出得越远，知道的反而越少。因此圣人不必出行就能知晓事理，不必亲见就能明察秋毫，不必亲为就能成就事业。
