Chapter 34
The great Tao flows everywhere; it can go left or right. All things depend on it for life, and it does not refuse them. When its work is done, it claims no credit. It clothes and nourishes all things but does not lord over them. Ever without desire, it can be called small. All things return to it yet it does not lord over them — it can be called great. Because it never considers itself great, it can achieve greatness.
