第三十三章

知人者智，自知者明。胜人者有力，自胜者强。知足者富，强行者有志，不失其所者久，死而不亡者寿。

He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened. He who conquers others has physical strength; he who conquers himself is truly strong. He who knows contentment is rich. He who perseveres has will. He who does not lose his place endures. He who dies but is not forgotten lives on.

能认识别人的人是有智慧的，能认识自己的人才是明达的。能战胜别人的人是有力量的，能战胜自己的人才是真正的强者。知道满足的人才是富有的。坚持力行的人才是有志向的。不失去自己立足之地的人才能长久。死后精神不灭的人才是真正的长寿。
